Iran War: Trump Claims US Has Already Won

US President Donald Trump stated, “One way or the other, we win.” This declaration came amid ongoing tensions in the Iran War, which he claims could last another two to three weeks.

Control of the Strait of Hormuz has become a central issue in this crisis. Iran has shown its capability to close this vital waterway, using it as both an offensive weapon and a means to generate revenue.

A ceasefire took effect on April 8, facilitated by Pakistani mediation. However, talks have failed to yield a lasting agreement. As of midday Tuesday, the status of this ceasefire remains uncertain.

The US military asserts that the ceasefire is still valid despite rising tensions. Yet Iran has fired at commercial vessels nine times and seized two container ships since the ceasefire began.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth warned that Iran would face an overwhelming response if it attacked US troops or commercial shipping. General Dan Caine indicated that US forces are prepared to resume major combat operations against Iran if necessary.

No adversary should mistake our current restraint for a lack of resolve, Caine emphasized. The situation remains volatile, with maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz under constant threat.

The Iranian government has not commented on its recent actions against commercial vessels. Officials have not confirmed whether any further retaliatory measures are planned.
