The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has executed a significant transfer of 6,500 kanals of amenity plots to the Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Islamabad. This move aims to enhance regulatory compliance regarding land transfers from housing societies.
As of early Tuesday, the NAB confirmed the transfer includes 5,484.76 kanals from Gulberg Residencia and 999 kanals from Margalla View D-17. The total value of this land is estimated at approximately Rs41 billion, based on Deputy Commissioner rates.
The public utility component has an estimated market value of Rs25.43 billion. This transfer also involves around 4,793 kanals of public and amenity land across various housing societies.
Meanwhile, in sports news, the IPL match between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) is set for May 1, 2026, at Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Both teams have an all-time series record of 15-15, having played a total of 30 matches.
Delhi Capitals are struggling this season with only one win in their last five matches. Mitchell Starc is expected to make his season debut for DC during this match.
Rajasthan Royals recently defeated Punjab Kings, marking the end of PBKS’s unbeaten streak this season. Chasing teams have historically dominated at Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
The NAB’s actions represent a crucial step toward addressing longstanding regulatory gaps in land management. Observers are keenly watching how these developments will impact both real estate governance and the upcoming IPL match.
