Cadillac’s Patriotic Livery for Silverstone
The Cadillac Formula 1 Team is set to feature a special red, white, and blue livery at the 2026 British Grand Prix, coinciding with the Fourth of July weekend. This design, which incorporates stars and stripes, pays homage to the team’s American heritage. The livery will be visible on the No. 11 car, driven by Sergio Perez, and will also extend to the entire garage, drivers’ helmets, and team uniforms.
The decision to adopt this patriotic theme is linked to the British Grand Prix taking place over the same weekend as the Fourth of July. Free practice and qualifying rounds are scheduled for July 4th, which also marks the 250th anniversary of American independence. The main race will follow one day later.

Dan Towriss, CEO of Cadillac Formula 1 Team Holdings, stated that the Fourth of July weekend provides an opportunity to reaffirm the team’s pride in representing the United States on the international stage of Formula 1. He views the event as a chance to introduce the sport to new audiences.
Jim Beam Partnership and Fan Engagement
In conjunction with this special event, Jim Beam, the official spirits partner of the Cadillac Formula 1 Team, has launched a new campaign titled “Better View.” This campaign aims to connect race fans across both sides of the Atlantic, celebrating America’s 250th anniversary and Formula 1.
The “Better View” campaign includes a 30-second advertisement that contrasts the experience of watching a race from a VIP box with the camaraderie of friends gathering to watch from various locations, such as camping, tailgates, bars, or rooftops. The voiceover emphasizes that the best part of race day is not where one watches, but who they are with, especially when sharing a Jim Beam.
KK Hall, global vice president of marketing at Jim Beam, described “Better View” as a celebration of fans who elevate race day beyond the race itself, regardless of their viewing location. The campaign focuses on the friendships, traditions, and connections that make race day memorable.
As part of the campaign, Jim Beam will host multiple activations at upcoming Formula 1 races in both the U.S. and the U.K. This includes the first Fourth of July-themed Cadillac Formula 1 Team x Jim Beam Pit Stop BBQ at Silverstone on July 1. This event will feature live music, slow-smoked barbecue, and what is described as the “Southern hospitality synonymous with Jim Beam.”
Additionally, the brand has released a new collectible 2026 Jim Beam White x Cadillac Formula 1 Team Limited Edition Bottle, which is scheduled to be available across the U.S. starting in September.
Team’s Performance and Driver Outlook
On the track, the Cadillac Formula 1 Team is focused on regaining consistency after a challenging Austrian Grand Prix, which saw two retirements in the opening laps. Team principal Graeme Lowdon acknowledged the difficulties faced in Austria but noted that improvements had already been validated at Spielberg despite limited Sunday testing. His objective for Silverstone is a trouble-free weekend to fully utilize the car’s potential, while remaining realistic about the work ahead so soon after Austria.
Sergio Perez approaches the upcoming race with optimism, emphasizing the need for discipline. He noted the team’s continued promise and the strong performances demonstrated in Austria, stressing the importance of consolidating foundations to unleash full potential.
Conversely, Valtteri Bottas’s assessment is more nuanced following a third consecutive retirement due to mechanical issues, including brake problems in Monaco and Austria, and an engine issue in Great Britain. Despite these setbacks, Bottas expressed his attachment to the English circuit, describing Silverstone as a true test for drivers due to its fast yet technical nature, which allows drivers to make a significant difference. The team’s priority is to develop a more reliable car capable of completing races.
The livery will also be showcased off the track at a barbecue hosted by Cadillac and Jim Beam during ESSENCE Fest in New Orleans, one of the major African-American cultural events in the United States.
