Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is likely to be the province most affected by this weather system. Dust-thunderstorms and isolated heavy falls are anticipated in various districts from May 2 until May 4.
Expected Weather Events:
- Dust-thunderstorms and isolated hailstorms in Punjab and Islamabad from May 2 through the night of May 4.
- Rain-windstorms and thunderstorms may affect Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Layyah, Multan, and Khanewal on May 3 and 4.
- Thunderstorm activity is expected in Gilgit-Baltistan from the night of May 2 until May 5.

The PMD also issued a heatwave alert for Karachi. Temperatures could exceed 41°C, with a ‘feels-like’ temperature reaching up to 50°C. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 36-41°C over three days in Sindh.
Officials warn that landslides may occur in vulnerable areas of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir on May 3 and 4. Tourists and travelers are advised to remain cautious during this period.
Farmers are urged to manage their crops according to the prevailing weather conditions. The PMD notes that Pakistan is among the countries most vulnerable to climate change, facing increasingly frequent extreme weather events.
