Pak vs ban test series 2026

The Bangladesh Cricket Board is offering free entry to students and cricket academy trainees during the upcoming Test series against Pakistan. This initiative aims to boost attendance among young fans.

The two-match Test series will take place in May 2026. The first match runs from May 8 to 12 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. The second match is scheduled for May 16 to 20 at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

Students must wear uniforms and show valid ID cards for free admission. Trainees under 15 from private cricket academies must wear their official kits. This move comes as part of efforts to engage youth in the sport.

Pakistan currently ranks 6th in the ICC Men’s Test Team Rankings, while Bangladesh sits at 9th. In the ICC World Test Championship Cycle 2025-27, Pakistan holds the 5th position with one win and one loss, whereas Bangladesh is in 8th place with one loss.

The BCB stated, “A special opportunity has been introduced to encourage young cricket enthusiasts to experience the ultimate form of the game from the stands and galleries.” This initiative reflects a growing commitment to fostering a new generation of cricket fans.

Despite not being favorites, experts believe Bangladesh can put up a tough fight against Pakistan, especially on home soil. The squad includes notable players like Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mushfiqur Rahim.

The upcoming matches are crucial for both teams as they aim to improve their standings in the ICC World Test Championship. Fans eagerly await this exciting clash between two competitive sides.
