For the first time in 76 years, NADRA mobile registration services have been deployed in the Kacha Area to facilitate identity documentation. This initiative aims to improve access to essential services for residents who have long faced challenges.
The Kacha Area has struggled with issues related to dacoits and lack of development. Until now, many residents had limited access to identity documentation. This new deployment represents a significant shift in local governance and security.
NADRA mobile teams are actively issuing CNICs and B-Forms. Within hours of the launch, thousands of residents began registering for their identity documents. This move is part of a broader development package worth Rs23 billion approved for the region.
Key components of the development plan include:
- 14,500 acres of government land allocated for local farmers.
- The ‘Apna Khet, Apna Rozgar’ programme promoting self-reliance among farmers.
- Establishment of new schools and colleges, with plans for upgrading 65 existing institutions.
Maryam Nawaz emphasized that development and prosperity are rights for every individual in the Kacha areas. Azma Bokhari added that no criminal elements will be allowed to return to the area, reinforcing local security efforts.
This initiative also includes provisions like 300 merit-based scholarships and a special quota of free laptops for students. Monitoring will be enhanced through modern drones and advanced surveillance systems.
The allocated land is strictly for landless farmers who have suffered for generations. Local police personnel will receive hardship allowances as part of these comprehensive efforts to ensure security and development in the area.
