2027 Hyundai Grandeur Design Update

The 2027 Hyundai Grandeur showcases a significant design update while retaining classic elements from its heritage. Hyundai calls the new design the ‘Shark Nose’. This flagship sedan, formerly known as the Azera, has undergone a transformation that highlights both innovation and tradition.

The refreshed design includes a striking ‘Shark Nose’ front end and thinner light elements. The Grandeur also maintains heritage-inspired details like the C-pillar opera glass and frameless doors from the original 1986 model.

A new Artistic Burgundy color enhances the exterior appeal. Inside, the Grandeur features a lounge-like wraparound layout with soft materials and ambient lighting, emphasizing passenger comfort. “It is clearly designed with passengers in mind, not just the driver,” an insider remarked.

The vehicle now includes a 17-inch Pleos Connect infotainment system powered by Android Automotive OS. This system supports over-the-air updates for key systems like suspension and powertrain, enhancing user experience.

Powertrain options are diverse, including gasoline, hybrid, and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) variants. Additionally, a new sunroof can switch between transparent and opaque with just the press of a button.

Convenience features include Digital Key 2 and a fingerprint scanner. The Grandeur continues to provide a smooth ride thanks to its electronically controlled suspension.

Hyundai has appointed Brad Arnold as Chief Designer for North America to enhance design efforts for models like the Grandeur. “We’re glad to see automakers still building big sedans like this in a world dominated by SUVs,” said an industry expert.
