Arafah Day falls on May 26, coinciding with the start of the holiday. Residents can take this extended break without using any annual leave.
Travel companies are already offering enticing Eid holiday packages. For example, flydubai has packages starting from AED 2,113 per person. Air Arabia’s offers begin at AED 2,399 per person.
Hotels across the UAE are promoting special staycation deals. Atlantis The Palm is offering a 25% discount on rooms for UAE residents until May 31, 2026. Similarly, Shangri-La Dubai has a ‘Stay 3, Pay For Only 2’ deal valid until February 13, 2027.
Nikki Beach Resort & Spa is providing up to 25% off for stays of four nights or more. These deals aim to attract both local and international travelers during this busy period.
Colombo, Sri Lanka is highlighted as a recommended Eid travel destination for those looking to venture abroad. The flight time from Dubai is approximately four hours and 55 minutes.
The global average jet fuel price currently stands at $179.46 per barrel, which may influence flight prices as the holiday approaches.
Schools in the UAE are also adjusting their schedules around this festive period. “A five-day (or even six-day) holiday for Eid would be especially significant for our teachers,” said Shiny Davison, Principal of Woodlem Park School in Ajman.
Chitra Sharma, Principal of JSS Private School in Dubai, emphasized that “Eid is a special time filled with joy, gratitude, and togetherness.” Schools plan to refrain from assigning extra work during this meaningful time.
Eid Al Adha is traditionally one of the busiest travel periods of the year from the UAE. Observers expect high demand for both local and international travel options as families plan their celebrations.
