Arsenal are reportedly exploring a potential deal to bring Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior to the Emirates Stadium. The Premier League champions are aiming to improve their left-wing attacking options for the current season. Vinicius Junior, who was the 2024 Ballon d’Or runner-up, is considered a top talent for this position.
While there has been no direct club-to-club contact at this stage, interest from Arsenal is understood to be genuine. Vinicius Junior is among several forward targets the club is considering, with Julian Alvarez, Yan Diomande, and Bradley Barcola also mentioned as players of interest.
The Brazilian international, 26, is currently in the final year of his contract with Real Madrid. If a new agreement cannot be reached, Real Madrid could consider selling him rather than risk losing him on a free transfer next summer. This situation presents a potential opportunity for interested clubs.
Arsenal‘s desire to strengthen their left-wing options follows the sale of Leandro Trossard to Besiktas for £17m earlier this summer. The club also brought in Christo Tzolis from Club Brugge for £34m. However, their alternative option in that area, Gabriel Martinelli, scored only one Premier League goal last season.
Vinicius Junior is currently on holiday after participating in the World Cup with Brazil. His team’s campaign concluded with a defeat to Norway in the round of 16. During the tournament, he scored four goals and registered one assist.

The 26-year-old’s performance at the World Cup included four goals and one assist.
In other transfer market activities, Jose Mourinho’s side has also opened talks to sign Yan Diomande. Their initial offer of €100 million (£85.4m) was rejected by RB Leipzig. Liverpool also had a €100m (£85.4m) offer for Diomande turned down earlier this summer, as the Bundesliga side is reportedly holding out for a €120m (£102.5m) transfer fee.
